Worship Ministry

The Word of God is clear as it relates to whom we sing, how we worship, and what we sing. Unfortunately, many fail to make this application. We cannot create other designs and expect God to manifest His presence through us. This is especially true if we are not abiding by principles and guidelines, already established, and stated in His Word.

Our heavenly Father never expected us to struggle with “the Who”, “the How” or “the What”.  “The Who” is God Himself.  “The How”, is in spirit and in truth.  “The What”, denotes psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs.  Singing to God is more than a casual sport or activity. It is not the creative artistry of professional singers and craftsmen. God’s way has been established. Therefore, God honors His Word…

The Bible Scripture contains over four hundred references to singing and fifty direct commands to sing. There is no escaping the fact that singing to God is part of a believer’s lifeblood. For the record, authentic worship begins with a ‘True Vision of the Living God”, according to Psalm 29:2, worship is ascribing to the Lord the glory He is due.

Throughout Scripture, we are commanded to sing to the Lord.  We sing “to God” or “to the Lord” because He is the object of our praise, adoration, and affection. Truthfully, the only reason we can sing, or worship God is because of the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. In actuality, no one can truly claim to know God in any way if they have not first encountered His Son, Jesus.  Because of God’s love for us, we worship the True and Living God and express our love through singing.

An authentic Worship Ministry directs the assembly of people to God...

A famous quote of the late Charles Spurgeon, the “Prince of Preachers”. It is the worship of a child towards a father, feeling within himself a kinship with the divine; it is a worship wrought in us by God the Holy Ghost, because the Father has sought us out and taught us how to worship him. It is a worship which is not outward, but of the inner man, and occupies not hand, eye, and foot, but heart and soul and spirit: and it is a worship which is not professional and formal, but real, hearty, earnest, and so acceptable before God.

Matthew 22:37-40

Hearing that Jesus had silenced the Sadducees, the Pharisees got together. One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question:  “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.  And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”

John 4:20-24

Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth
